Convert SVG to BMP

Drop SVG files and download them as BMP. SVG can hold transparency and BMP cannot, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). Conversion runs on your device, so large batches finish in seconds and nothing is uploaded.

How to use the SVG to BMP

    1. Drop or paste your SVG files (up to 200).
    2. No settings needed: the output is lossless.
    3. Click Convert to BMP.
    4. Download each file or all as a ZIP.

    Why convert SVG to BMP?

SVG is a vector format: shapes and text described mathematically, scalable to any size without blur. Many platforms (social media, marketplaces, email) accept only raster images, so SVG logos and icons often need converting to PNG or JPG at a specific pixel size.

BMP is the uncompressed Windows bitmap format. Files are very large (3 bytes per pixel) but trivially simple, which is why some legacy software, embedded systems and wallpaper settings still require it.

    What changes in the conversion

Both formats are lossless; the image is preserved exactly and only the container changes. SVG can hold transparency and BMP cannot, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default). The SVG is rasterised at its declared width and height; to get a specific pixel size, resize the result with the image resizer, or edit the SVG's width attribute first.

How it works on your device

Your browser decodes the SVG file into raw pixels, draws them onto a canvas and asks its built-in encoder to write BMP. Nothing is sent to a server, which is why there is no file-size limit beyond your device's memory and no queue.

    Frequently asked questions

Does converting SVG to BMP lose quality?

Both formats are lossless; the image is preserved exactly and only the container changes..

Is there a limit on file size or number of files?

Up to 200 files per batch and no fixed size limit; processing happens in your browser.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The conversion runs on your device and works offline after the page loads.

    What happens to transparent areas?

They are filled with the background colour you pick (white by default), because BMP has no transparency.
