Reorder the pages of a PDF
Drop a PDF and every page appears as a thumbnail. Drag one onto another, or nudge it with the arrow buttons, until the order is right — then build the new document. If you already know the order you want, type it instead; the same box lets you duplicate a page or leave one out.
How to use the Reorder PDF Pages
- Drop a PDF — thumbnails of every page appear below the drop zone.
- Drag a page onto the position you want, or use the ▲ and ▼ buttons.
- Alternatively type an explicit order such as 3,1,2 in the box.
- Click Build reordered PDF and download the result.
The page organiser
Each page is rendered as a thumbnail by PDF.js, Mozilla's PDF engine, running on your device. The caption under every thumbnail tells you both its new position and where it came from — "3. was p1" means the original first page will be printed third. Drag a card onto another card to drop it into that slot, or use the arrow buttons, which are also reachable by keyboard.
Typing the order
The text box overrides the thumbnails and accepts any separator: 3,1,2, 3 1 2 and 3;1;2 all work. Because it is a plain list of page numbers rather than a shuffle, it can do two things dragging cannot:
- Duplicate a page —
1,2,2,3outputs page 2 twice, handy for a form that needs a second copy of one sheet. - Drop pages —
1,2,5on a five-page document quietly leaves out pages 3 and 4. The result box tells you how many originals were not included, so this cannot happen by accident.
Reversing a document
Scanners that feed from the back produce documents in reverse. Type the pages backwards — 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 for an eight-page file — or drag the last thumbnail to the front repeatedly.
What is preserved
Pages are copied, not re-rendered: text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution and compression, and vector line work stays sharp at any zoom. Title, author, subject and keywords are copied from the source file. Bookmarks are not carried over, because the outline would point at the old positions.
Alternate-page scans
A common sheet-fed pattern is scanning all the fronts, then all the backs, leaving a file ordered 1, 3, 5, 7 … 2, 4, 6, 8. For an eight-page document the fix is 1,5,2,6,3,7,4,8. If the backs were scanned in reverse — fronts 1-4 then backs 8,7,6,5 — use 1,8,2,7,3,6,4,5.

Can I reorder a PDF without installing software?
Yes. The thumbnails and the rebuild both run inside this page; nothing is uploaded and nothing is installed.
How do I move one page to the front?
Drag its thumbnail to the first slot, or type the order with that page first, for example 7,1,2,3,4,5,6.
Can I duplicate a page?
Yes, with the text box: repeat its number, such as 1,2,2,3.
Why do the thumbnails take a moment on a large file?
Every page is rendered properly rather than guessed from a preview. The tool is usable before they finish — the pages are already in their original order.
